INDUSTRIAL RECOVERY

Value-added mining and agricultural final product processing plants will be established in stages.

Through advanced technologies and upgrading guaranteed mineral resources recorded in the government database, measures will be taken to digitalize the process of issuing mineral licenses, reducing costs, and increasing investment and the volume of value-added mining products.

Value-added heavy industry will be developed to meet domestic development needs and increase exports.

To provide domestic refineries with raw materials by increasing the proven oil reserves and the production volume of the refineries.

Agricultural production based on advanced technologies and innovation will be developed to increase the volume of new products, services, and production.

The capacity of processing plants will be increased to reduce the share of exports of semi-finished products and increase the export of value-added finished products, considering the availability of agricultural raw materilas and other resources.

Industrial lines with the latest digital economy trends will be developed, introducing advanced technology, blockchain, and artificial intelligence based on science and innovation.

BACKGROUNDS AND REQUIREMENTS

Industrialization plays a crucial role in economic security through the promotion advanced techniques and technologies, foresting high productivity, competitive exports, and developing import-substituting manufacturing services.

The backbone of the Mongolian economy relies on the export of various mining products, including coal, copper, iron ore, and gold.

90%
TOTAL EXPORTS

90% of total exports are mining products

90%
NATURAL RESOURCE

90% of natural resources are exported unprocessed

90%
DOMESTIC CONSUMPTION

90% of domestic consumption is imported

This shows the failure of industrial policy.

INDUSTRIAL RECOVERY PROJECTS

Five industrial projects have been approved for value-added mining and agricultural final product processing plants in stages within the policy framework.

These projects include tanneries, coal, copper concentrate processing plants, meat factories, steel plants, open pits, underground mining projects, and industrial technology parks.

THE POLICY IMPLEMENTATION

The recovery of industrialization will develop agricultural raw materials based on science and advanced technology, promote value-added production, meet domestic demand, and increase exports.

The share of the manufacturing industry in GDP will increase by 15%

The processing level of leather will increase by 60%

The domestic supply of fuel will increase by 55%

Total export volume will increase by 30 billion US dollars
